Christmas Eve 2017

December 24, 2017

Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year but we are going to do things a little different. We will not be having our regular morning services but instead have services at 1, 3, and 5PM. These services will be family friendly however if you have kids from Birth to Pre-K we will have our Wamba Land environment and volunteers available to look after them during the service.

These services are all the same so pick the service that best fits with your Christmas Gatherings! Hope to see you there!

Outreach Donation Drop-offs

December 10, 2017

This year's outreach partners are great organizations we can serve practically throughout the entire year! Any donations can be left behind your vehicle on Sunday morning and one of our volunteers will pick them up for you. Alternatively, you can drop them off at 940 Elmhurst Road during the week. Contact if you have any questions. They have some immediate needs that we want to help with:

November 19 - Operation Christmas Child
Give to some of the neediest children in the world! At Oasis, we collected shoeboxes throughout November, but if you missed your chance there is still time. Drop off your shoeboxes today at St. Vital Shopping Centre. For more information, visit

November 26 - Boots for the Shamattawa Community
We have the opportunity to send some gently used, children-sized winter boots to Shamattawa, Manitoba for this winter! Please leave the boots behind your car on Sunday, November 26 for our volunteers to pick up.

December 3 - Westdale Food Bank
Bring a bag of non-perishable items to help stock the Westdale Food Bank this Christmas season. Leave your bags of nonperishable food items behind your car. During the service, the Oasis volunteers will pick up the food and deliver it to the food bank. Their most needed items are: granola bars, crackers, fruit cups, cereal, canned pasta, and juice boxes. For more information, please contact the church offices.

December 10 - North End Family Centre
This organization provides a safe place for residents of the North End to meet life goals and overcome challenges. They are in need of toiletries this Christmas season. Their most needed items are: shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, bars of soap, lotion, razors, shaving cream, and Q-tips. Place the toiletries in a bag and leave it behind your car when you get to church. Our volunteers will pick it up and deliver it to the NEFC. For more information, visit

December 17 - You Can't Spoil a Baby
This Charleswood based group creates gifts for new parents who are in financial need. They accept gently used toys, clothing and baby items to help supply these gifts. Their biggest needs are diapers (of any size) and gently-used sleepers (3-18 months), small baby toys – but they will gladly accept any gently used baby/toddler items. Leave your item behind your vehicle when you get to church and our volunteers will collect them. For more information, visit

Young Adults: The Living Room

November 23, 2017 7:30pm

We are so excited about our College and Young Adults environment every Thursday for 18 - 25-year-olds. The Living Room is a large group setting where you can meet others in the same stage of life while still getting the opportunity to break out into smaller life groups to dig deeper into what we talk about on Sundays.
